  ABSINT POISONOUS is the name given to the alter ego of scientist Cynthia Helen. During a fierce battle between the alien beings Crisis and Damned, she was struck by a blast of poisonous energy from Damned and left on the brink of death. In response, Crisis and Doc. Benjamim worked together to create a Body Control Suit, a device similar to the Zurinian SUITECHs, designed to stabilize the scientist's body—keeping the infection and potential mutations under control.
